Johnny Blue Skies Santa Barbara Concert reviews
Verizon Center sound system awful!
I have seen Johnny Blue Skies several times, and I always anticipate his shows; they are consistently a great party. The entire band rocked the whole night this time, and it was a nice, long show. The sound quality was extremely disappointing, though - fuzzy and distorted, and poorly mixed, making it hard to hear vocals in songs and Johnny's patter between them. A few years ago, I saw the Rolling Stones at the Verizon Center, and the sound was awesome. I can only assume they brought their own superior sound equipment, and this was the venue's fault. I will always be up for another Jimmy Buffett event, but I probably would not see him again in Little Rock.
